Stapleton Neighborhood

Westerly Creek Elementary is the first school in the Stapleton neighborhood and benefits from many of the elements of this 'new urbanism' community.

Created on the reclaimed land of the former Stapleton Airport, Stapleton is a walkable community with many park spaces, public gathering places, and a progressive vision of what a modern neighborhood should be. Lifelong education is a high priority in this growing community, and parents are very involved in the shaping of the school and development of its resources. Westerly Creek also takes a cue from our new urbanism philosophy with a new focus adopted in 2006-2007 on sustainability and service learning.
