America is originally from Torrance, California. She has a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Cal State University Dominguez Hills and an M.A. in Reading and Curriculum Instruction from Grand Canyon University. She taught Kindergarten in Torrance and at Westerly Creek, and bilingual second grade in Miami, Fla. She has been a Central Park resident since 2006, and has been lucky enough to teach at Bill Roberts and Westerly Creek. America enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys. She also loves cooking, reading and visiting the ocean.
