Brian Tarver
Assistant Principal


Brian is a native of Denver, Colorado. He is a product of Denver Public Schools, graduating from East High School in 1995. He has a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, and just completed the Ritchie Principal Licensure Program for aspiring school leaders at the University of Denver. He is currently in the process of completing an M.A. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, also through the University of Denver. Brian has worked for Denver Public schools in a number of capacities, marking nearly 15 years of service with the district. He has served as the Restorative Justice Counselor at Florida Pitt Waller, a Community Engagement Specialist at Bruce Randolph and Martin Luther King Early College for the Office of Family and Community Engagement, and has served as Dean of Students at High Tech Early College and Noel Community Arts Middle School. Brian has been recognized by the numerous organizations for his outstanding work and contribution to the community and has been a strong example, role model, and father figure for many children and youth. He is a minister, youth leader, and active community member. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, directing the and singing in his church choir, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. Brian hopes that he will be able to make a positive impact in the lives of the students, families and staff during his time as Dean at Westerly Creek.
