Carey grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but has been coming to Colorado every year since she was 10 years old. On her first trip to Denver she landed in Stapleton Airport! She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University, Master of Urban Planning Degree from the University of Michigan, and Master of Education with a concentration in early literacy from the University of Colorado. When Mrs. Nyberg isn't reading a good book, she is playing board games or hiking with her family.
