Kate was raised in Neenah, Wisconsin, and will forever be a Packers fan. She has a B.A. in Education and a B.A. in Dance Education from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and a M.A. in Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Kate first worked for the Denver Public Schools in 1998. In 1999, she and her husband decided to leave the states and teach abroad. From 1999 until their return to Denver in 2007, they lived and taught in Honduras and then in Mexico. Kate has been teaching at Westerly Creek since January 2012. Her husband, Jeff, is a ninth grade Physics teacher at the Denver School of Science and Technology in Stapleton. In her free time, Kate enjoys camping, skiing, and hiking with her family.
