Collaborative School Committee
The Collaborative School Committee (CSC) is the decision-making body for the school. At Westerly Creek Elementary School, the CSC is comprised of the Principal, three teachers, three parents, and one community representative. The CSC helps in creating and implementing a Unified Improvement Plan, reviewing school budgets, determining school staffing, etc. The meetings are open to the public and outside participation is welcome!

Description: TO PARTICIPATE IN FIELD DAY, RETURN ALL BOOKS!
The end of the school year is right around the corner and Mr. Jay needs to get back all of our school’s library books to get them ready for next year. This year all students must have books returned before Field Day on Friday, May 18th if they plan to participate in Field Day events. If checked-out books are not returned or fines for lost books are not paid to the library by the end of the day Thursday May 17th, students will be unable to participate during their grade level’s Field Day. The last week to check books out for the 2011-12 school year will be the week of April 30-May 4. 3rd Grade | Night of the Notables - NEW TIME!
Time: 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Location: Cafeteria and 3rd Grade Class Rooms
Description: Dear Parents,
As you know, the Night of the Notables is happening on Thursday, May 17 beginning at 5:30 pm. Students will need to arrive on time, at 5:15, already dressed in their costume and carrying their prop. They can meet us in the hallway outside their classrooms. Once parents are seated in the cafeteria, students will begin lining up downstairs at designated spots. We will introduce the project and explain how to interview the students. You will have about 30-40 minutes to roam the hallways and visit each notable. To close, students will line up and enter the cafeteria telling the audience which Colorado notable they are. After the Night of the Notables events have finished, the third grade team would like to invite you into our classrooms for an open house that will go until 7:30 pm. Students will showcase their notable work, as well as other end of the year accomplishments in math and literacy. You are invited to come by your child's classroom to celebrate all of the hard work that he/she has put into a successful third grade year!

Description: Last chance to buy! Our yearbooks have arrived and will be distributed to classrooms on Thursday, May 24th, with most teachers handing out to their students toward the end of the day and providing some time to have friends autograph them. Students should put their names in their yearbook on the opening page right away so as not to get them mixed up with other yearbooks.
Anyone who still wants to buy a yearbook, there are two options:
