Discovery Link Before & After School Child Care

Discovery Link (formerly Kaleidoscope Corner) is a licensed childcare program offered at select DPS schools.  Our center at Westerly Creek serves children aged 3 to 12 before school (Early Risers) and after school.  For more information about Discovery Link at Westerly Creek, availability in the program, and other logistical information, please visit

After-School Enrichment Programs

Throughout the school year, Westerly Creek hosts a variety of after school extracurricular programs. Stephanie Shelby-Hines at Westerly Creek manages extended learning in a safe and professional manner.  Programs have included activities such as dance, karate, guitar, sports, cooking, environmental science, art, and languages.

The timing of each session is roughly as follows, with some classes ending earlier/later than others during any given session:

Session 1– August-October | Session 2– November-February | Session 3– March – May

All sessions begin after dismissal and end according to the session schedule.

Swing by the Westerly Creek cafeteria between the hours of 7:30am-8:30am or 4:00pm-6:00pm for computer access to sign up for classes, drop off an information card, or pay with a check made out to Community Education!
Enrichment at Westerly Creek Elementary will be handled by DPS’ Department of Extended Learning.
