Lacey has been teaching since 2009 and is passionate about educating students with exceptional needs. She has a degree in Special Education from Metro State and taught at University Park Elementary. As a Primary Affective Needs teacher she fostered several success stories by creating a positive, nurturing learning environment. Most recently she was a Mild/Moderate Special Educator with a focus on primary and intermediate literacy as well as collaboration with grade-level teachers to address major curriculum concepts. Lacey is married and has two young boys, Oliver “Oli” almost 3, and Niles 7 ½ months. She grew up in Norman Oklahoma, lived in San Diego for four years before moving to Denver in 2000. She loves being a mom, spending time with family and friends, snowboarding, hiking, gardening and traveling.
