Lacey has been teaching since 2008 and is passionate about educating Westerly Creeks exceptional youngest students. She has a degree in Special Education from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Before coming to Westerly Creek in 2012, she taught at University Park Elementary as a Special Educator. While at University Park she taught students with emotional needs and with the help of an amazing team. Her program produced several success stories by creating a positive, nurturing learning environment. From 2012-2019, Lacey had been a Mild/Moderate Special Educator who teaches students from Kindergarten through 5th grade with a variety of needs including literacy, math and Social Skill development. In the 2019-2020 school year, Lacey has joined the Early Childhood Education team. Her passion for teaching is obvious as her patient and kind demeanor shines though as a teacher. She is married and has two young boys, Oliver “Oli” and Niles, who both attend Westerly Creek. She grew up in Norman Oklahoma, lived in San Diego for four years before moving to Denver in 2000. She loves being a mom, spending time with family and friends, snowboarding, hiking, shopping, gardening, and traveling.
