Mrs. Gruber (Marie) has been a 5th through 8th grade math, science and gifted and talented teacher and instructional coach for many years. (This year is number 19!) This is Marie’s tenth year at Westerly Creek after working for three years as a Gifted and Talented educator at the middle school level. She is an alumna of Denver’s East High School, Colorado College, the University of Colorado, the University of Phoenix and the University of Denver. Marie has degrees in Geology, Curriculum Development, Instruction, Counseling as well as an endorsement in Gifted Education and a Principal’s license. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, reading, and taking as many weekend trips to Lake McConaughy in Nebraska as possible. She is also the mom of a daughter, Ruby, who will be twelve years old in October and attend McA as a sixth grader and seven year old, Hudson, who attends second grade at Westerly Creek. Equally as important, she is a dog mom to a Boston Terrier and an English Bulldog, both of whom are aggressive snugglers.
