Jill is originally from Buffalo, New York. She moved to Denver in 1997, after teaching in Kathmandu, Nepal, where she fell in love with the mountains and the outdoors. She has a B.A. in Elementary English Education from Canisius College, in Buffalo, New York, and a M.A. in Special Education from the University of Colorado at Denver. Since 1997, she has worked for the Denver Public Schools in a variety of roles—as a classroom teacher, special educator, itinerant teacher, and instructional specialist. Jill became Westerly Creek’s Principal in 2007. She spends her free time trying to keep up with her son Will and husband Brian. Jill loves hiking in the mountains, swimming in the ocean, and relaxing on a fabulous beach with a great book. She has also been known to play a game of tether ball with the kids out on Westerly Creek’s blacktop.
