SpecialsTate has been a visual artist as long as he can remember. He is a painter, a children's book illustrator, a portrait artist, and an ever-growing art educator. Tate grew up in Colorado, lived in Portland, Oregon for a few years, and also lived and taught abroad for 7 years; living in China, Italy, and Kazakhstan. He received his BA in History from Metro State University in 2005 and his MS in Early Childhood Education in 2020. He has taught Art, PE, Technology, and has been an elementary classroom teacher- among other things- since 2011.
