This year our Wolf Den Welcome will combine all the fun of previous years with all the information typically imparted during Back to School Nights. Parents will attend grade level information sessions in block rotations throughout the day in the cafeteria while the students have fun outside with Kaleidoscope & Specials teachers. Because this event is now incorporating the information that has historically been shared at Back to School Nights in the first week of school, parents are strongly encouraged to attend as there won’t be evening presentations during the first week of school. If you are unable to attend an ECE-4th grade presentation, then at 5 PM you will have an opportunity to meet the teachers you missed and get the information that was shared earlier in the day. If you have a fifth grader, however, you’ll need to attend that presentation from 4-6 so please plan accordingly.
Arrive at the East entrance to the school (on the Akron St. side) to check in 15 minutes prior to the first presentation you will attend. Do not head directly to the playground or to the classrooms. Once you enter the building you will be directed where to go.
We will have hot dog meals available for purchase on site for $5/person (11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.), activities for the children, After School Enrichment information, & Kaleidoscope Corner staff will be there to provide childcare during presentations. The PTA will also be on hand for spirit wear purchases, membership registration, and the very important volunteer sign-ups. Of course, we’ll have popsicles!
Activities include a rock climbing wall, bouncy houses, Zorba balls, sidewalk chalk, face painting, cup stacking, a fire truck from 11 AM-12 PM and a DJ from 4-6 PM. T
